We stayed at a great little cottage just outside the center, within walking distance of pubs, shops, and Sherwood Forest. The Forest Lodge pub was lovely with excellent staff and a welcoming atmosphere. The cottage had modern facilities, including a dishwasher and washing machine, and the beds were very comfortable. The garden was a perfect sun trap. The host was friendly, informative, and kept in touch when needed.
